Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Removal

  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  7. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT  (See REPLACEMENT )
  8. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the sensor connector.
    2. Fig 1: Locating Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor

    3. Remove the sensor.
    4. Remove the gasket from the sensor.
