Heated Oxygen Sensor: Installation

HINT:

When viewed from the rear of the engine assembly, Bank 1 is on the left side and Bank 2 is on the right side.

  1. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2) 
    1. Using SST, install the sensor to the front exhaust pipe.

      SST 09224-00010 

      Torque: without SST 

      44 N*m (449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

      with SST 

      40 N*m (408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf) 

      HINT:

      • Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.8 in.).
      • Make sure SST and the wrench are connected in a straight line.

    2. Connect the sensor connector.
  2. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2) 
    1. Exterior Side:
      1. Using SST, install the sensor to the front exhaust pipe

        SST 09224-00010 

        Torque: without SST 

        44 N*m (449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

        with SST 

        40 N*m (408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf) 

        HINT:

        • Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.8 in.).
        • Make sure SST and the wrench are connected in a straight line.

      2. Install the grommet to the vehicle.
    2. Interior Side:

      Connect the sensor connector.

  3. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 AIR DUCT 
  4. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR SILENCER PAD RH 
  5. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH 
    1. Install the cowl side trim board RH (see INSTALLATION ).
  6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 
    1. Install the front door scuff plate RH(see INSTALLATION ).
