Mass Air Flow Meter: Installation

HINT:

When viewed from the rear of the engine assembly, Bank 1 is on the left side and Bank 2 is on the right side.

  1. INSTALL MASS AIR FLOW METER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1) 
    1. Install the MAF meter with the 2 screws

      Torque: 0.8 N*m (8 kgf*cm, 7 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • If the screw is tightened excessively, the screw hole may be damaged.
      • Make sure the O-ring is not pinched.

  2. INSTALL MASS AIR FLOW METER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Bank 2) 
    1. Install the MAF meter with the 2 screws

      Torque: 0.8 N*m (8 kgf*cm, 7 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • If the screw is tightened excessively, the screw hole may be damaged.
      • Make sure the O-ring is not pinched.

  3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Install the air cleaner cap

      Torque: for hose clamp 

      3.8 N*m (38 kgf*cm, 34 in.*lbf) 

      HINT:

      Insert the protrusion of the air cleaner hose into the hole of the hose clamp

  4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Install the air cleaner cap.

      Torque: for hose clamp 

      3.8 N*m (38 kgf*cm, 34 in.*lbf) 

      HINT:

      Insert the protrusion of the air cleaner hose into the hole of the hose clamp.

  5. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
