Fuel Relief Valve: Removal

  1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE 
    1. Discharge fuel system pressure (see PRECAUTION  ).
  2. REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the fuel pressure pulsation damper (see REMOVAL  ).
  3. REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the No. 2 fuel pipe (see REMOVAL  ).
  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL  )
  5. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL  )
  6. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL  )
  7. REMOVE NO. 4 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL  )
  8. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE  (See REMOVAL  )
  9. REMOVE FUEL RELIEF VALVE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Fix the delivery pipe between aluminum plates in a vise.
      NOTE: Do not overtighten the vise.
    2. Using a 5 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts and fuel relief valve from the delivery pipe
      NOTE: Pull and remove the fuel relief valve a straight line to avoid damage to the seal surface of the delivery pipe's O-ring.

    3. Remove the E-ring, O-ring and backup rings from the fuel relief valve.
