Fuel Relief Valve: Removal
- DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE
- Discharge fuel system pressure (see PRECAUTION ).
- REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY
- Remove the fuel pressure pulsation damper (see REMOVAL ).
- REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the No. 2 fuel pipe (see REMOVAL ).
- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE NO. 4 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FUEL RELIEF VALVE ASSEMBLY
- Fix the delivery pipe between aluminum plates in a vise.NOTE: Do not overtighten the vise.
- Using a 5 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts and fuel relief valve from the delivery pipeNOTE: Pull and remove the fuel relief valve a straight line to avoid damage to the seal surface of the delivery pipe's O-ring.
- Remove the E-ring, O-ring and backup rings from the fuel relief valve.
- Fix the delivery pipe between aluminum plates in a vise.
