How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 

    11 to 14 V 

    If the voltage is below 11V, recharge or replace the auxiliary battery before proceeding

  3. CHECK FOR DTC (ALL)* 
    1. Check for all DTCs.

      Result 

      RESULT CHART

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is output A
      CAN communication system DTC is output B
      DTC is not output C

      If a CAN communication malfunction code is output, troubleshoot that code before performing repairs on this system

    B: GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING)  (see HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

    C: USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK  (see HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

    A: Go to next Step 

  4. REPAIR OR REPLACE 
    1. Before performing repairs or replacement, refer to PRECAUTION  .
    2. Refer to the DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  and perform repairs .
  5. CONFIRMATION TEST* 
    1. Perform the OPERATION CHECK  .
