Rear Acceleration Sensor: Removal
- REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH (See REMOVAL )
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.NOTE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see INITIALIZATION ).
- After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

- REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD RH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER COVER (w/ Rear Cooler) (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE ACCELERATION SENSOR ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the connector
- Remove the bolt and sensor with bracketNOTE:
- Avoid any impact to the suspension control acceleration sensor.
- Do not drop the acceleration sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
- The acceleration sensor removed from the vehicle must not be placed upside down.
