Suspension Control Ecu: Installation

HINT:

A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS ).

  1. INSTALL SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU 
    1. Install the suspension control ECU to the bracket with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 6.0 N*m (61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Avoid any impact to the suspension control ECU.
      • Do not drop the ECU. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.

  2. INSTALL SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU WITH BRACKET 
    1. Install the ECU with bracket with the nut and bolt.

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)

    2. Connect the ECU connectors.
    3. w/o Advanced Parking Guidance System:

      Connect the ECU connectors to the clearance warning ECU.

    4. w/ Advanced Parking Guidance System:

      Connect the ECU connectors to the parking assist ECU.

  3. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION ).
  4. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOLDING  (See INSTALLATION ).
  5. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION ).
  6. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL  (See INSTALLATION ).
  7. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  9. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Torque: 5.6 N*m (57 kgf*cm, 50 in.*lbf) 

    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see INITIALIZATION ).
  11. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  12. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  13. ADJUST VEHICLE HEIGHT 
    NOTE: If the suspension control ECU has been replaced, be sure to adjust the vehicle height.
    1. Adjust the vehicle height (see ADJUSTMENT  ).
  14. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Check the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
  15. ADJUST HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. for HID Headlight:

      Adjust the headlight (see ADJUSTMENT )

    2. for LED Headlight:

      Adjust the headlight (see ADJUSTMENT )

  16. ADJUST OBJECT RECOGNITION CAMERA 
    1. Adjust the object recognition camera (see ADJUSTMENT ).
