Inspection Procedure
- CHECK NAVIGATION SYSTEM
- Start the navigation system and check that the voice recognition microphone function operates normally.
Result
DTC RESULT REFERENCEResult Proceed to Microphone function is normal A Microphone function is malfunctioning B B: GO TO NAVIGATION SYSTEM (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )
A: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEPHONE ECU ASSEMBLY - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the P2 ECU connector.
- Disconnect the R7 map light connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition P2-7 (MCVD) - R7-22 (ACC) Always Below 1 Ω P2-7 (MCVD) or R7-22 (ACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR THEN CLEAR HISTORIC DTC
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the R7 map light connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition R7-16 (GND9) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR THEN CLEAR HISTORIC DTC
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (OPERATION)
- Temporarily replace the map light with a new or normally functioning one (See REMOVAL ).
- Check if DTC 4-3 is output.
OK: DTC 4-3 is not output.
NG: Go to step 5
OK: END (MAP LIGHT IS FAULTY; CLEAR HISTORIC DTC) (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR )
- REPLACE TELEPHONE ECU ASSEMBLY TOGETHER WITH MAYDAY BATTERY
NEXT: PERFORM REGISTRATION (See REGISTRATION )
