Inspection Procedure
When the pattern select switch (PWR) is pushed, switch contact is made and power mode is selected. To cancel power mode, push the pattern select switch (PWR) once again.
- INSPECT NO. 1 PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (PWR)
- Remove the No. 1 pattern select switch assembly (See REMOVAL ).
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

NG: REPLACE NO. 1 PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (See PATTERN SELECT SWITCH )
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the V5 No. 1 pattern select switch assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 PATTERN SELECT SWITCH - ASSEMBLY ECM)
- Disconnect the A38 ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
