Inspection Procedure
HINT:
If the vehicle has a navigation system, "multi-display" refers to the "display and navigation module display".
- CHECK POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT
- w/ Navigation System: Refer to the Display and Navigation Assembly Power Source Circuit (See DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT ).
- w/o Navigation System: Refer to the MULTI-DISPLAY POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT (See
).
If the power source circuit is operating normally, proceed to the next step.
- INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

- Disconnect the F1, F23 and F24 receiver connectors.
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

NG: REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
OK: Go to next Step
- IDENTIFY COMPONENT WHICH HAS STORED THIS CODE
- Enter the diagnostic mode.
- Press the "LAN Mon" switch to change to "LAN Monitor" mode.
- Identify the component which has stored this code.

- Referring to the AVC-LAN wiring diagram, check the AVC-LAN circuit between the multi-display and the component which has stored this code.
- Disconnect all connectors between the multi-display and the component which has stored this code.
- Check for an open or short in the AVC-LAN circuit between the multi-display and the component which has stored this code.
OK: There is no open or short circuit.
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next Step
- Referring to the AVC-LAN wiring diagram, check the AVC-LAN circuit between the multi-display and the component which has stored this code.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY - RADIO RECEIVER)

For details of the connectors, refer to TERMINALS OF ECU (See ).
- Referring to the AVC-LAN wiring diagram, check the AVC-LAN circuit between the multi-display and the radio receiver.
- Disconnect all connectors between the multi-display and the radio receiver.
- Check for an open or short in the AVC-LAN circuit between the multi-display and the radio receiver.
OK: There is no open or short circuit.
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next Step
- Referring to the AVC-LAN wiring diagram, check the AVC-LAN circuit between the multi-display and the radio receiver.
- REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY WITH NORMAL ONE AND CHECK
- w/ Navigation System: Replace the display and navigation module display with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again (See REMOVAL ).
- w/o Navigation System: Replace the multi-display with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again (See REMOVAL
).
OK: Same problem does not occur.
NG: REPLACE COMPONENT WHICH HAS STORED THIS CODE
OK: END
