Inspection Procedure
- CHECK MULTI-DISPLAY SELECTOR
- Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
STANDARD VOLTAGETester Connection Condition Specified Condition L23-18 (MUT6) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC), audio system is playing → changing modes 3.5 V or higher → Below 1 V
NG: Go to step 2
OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
- Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.
- CHECK VEHICLE EQUIPMENT
- Check if the SDARS system is equipped on the vehicle.
Result
RESULT REFERENCEResult Proceed to w/ SDARS System A w/o SDARS System B
B: Go to step 6
A: Go to next Step
- Check if the SDARS system is equipped on the vehicle.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - STEREO COMPONENT TUNER)
- Disconnect the F24 receiver connector.
- Disconnect the L37 tuner connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
STANDARD RESISTANCETester Connection Condition Specified Condition F24-6 (MUTE) - L37-6 (MUTE) Always Below 1 Ω F24-6 (MUTE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next Step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT TUNER - MULTI-DISPLAY SELECTOR)
- Disconnect the L39 tuner connector.
- Disconnect the L23 selector connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
STANDARD RESISTANCETester Connection Condition Specified Condition L39-15 (MUT2) - L23-18 (MUT6) Always Below 1 Ω L23-18 (MUT6) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next Step
- CHECK STEREO COMPONENT TUNER (OPERATION)
- Replace the stereo component tuner with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again (See REMOVAL
).
OK: Same problem does not occur.
NG: Go to step 7
OK: END (STEREO COMPONENT TUNER IS DEFECTIVE)
- Replace the stereo component tuner with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again (See REMOVAL
).
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - MULTI-DISPLAY SELECTOR)
- Disconnect the F24 receiver connector.
- Disconnect the L23 selector connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
STANDARD RESISTANCETester Connection Condition Specified Condition F24-6 (MUTE) - L23-18 (MUT6) Always Below 1 Ω F24-6 (MUTE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

OK: Go to next Step
