Crawl Switch: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    NOTE:
    • w/ Navigation System:

      After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  2. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE INNER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACKET COVER LH  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE INNER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACKET COVER RH  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE HOLE COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE CONSOLE CUP HOLDER BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  10. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  11. REMOVE LOWER POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  12. REMOVE INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY (CRAWL SWITCH) 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the 5 screws and integration control and panel from the position indicator housing.
