Yaw Rate And Deceleration Sensor: Removal

  1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (w/Cool Box)  (See REMOVAL )
  2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (w/Cool Box)  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL (w/Cool Box)  (See REMOVAL )
  4. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM (w/Cool Box)  (See REPLACEMENT )
  5. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    NOTE:
    • w/ Navigation System:

      After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (w/Cool Box) 
    1. Remove the front seat assembly LH (See REMOVAL ).
  7. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Cool Box) 
    1. Remove the rear console box sub-assembly (See REMOVAL ).
  8. REMOVE COOLING BOX ASSEMBLY (w/Cool Box) 
    1. Remove the cooling box assembly (See REMOVAL ).
  9. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and sensor.
    2. Disconnect the sensor connector and then detach the clamp from the sensor bracket.
