Combination Meter: Removal

  1. DISABLE AUTOAWAY/RETURN FUNCTION 
    1. Disable the Autoaway/Return function by changing the customize parameter (See CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS ).
      NOTE: Record the current customize parameter setting (whether the Autoaway/Return function is enabled or disabled) in order to restore the current setting after finishing the operation.

      HINT:

      Performing the above operation causes the Autoaway/Return function to be disabled when the engine switch is turned off.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Operate the tilt and telescopic switch to fully extend and lower the steering column.
    3. Turn the engine switch off.
  2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  (See REMOVAL )
  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:
    • w/ Navigation System:

      After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH 
    1. Place protective tape as shown in the illustration.
    2. Using a molding remover, detach the 6 claws and remove the side panel.

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE 
    1. Detach the 5 claws.
    2. Remove the hole base and disconnect the connectors.

  6. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Detach the 8 claws.
    2. Remove the instrument panel pad and disconnect the connector.

  7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the 6 claws.

    2. Detach the 4 claws.
    3. Remove the finish panel and disconnect the connectors.

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the 4 claws and remove the register.

  9. REMOVE NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the 5 claws and remove the register.

  10. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws

    2. Detach the 2 clips.

    3. Disconnect the connector and remove the combination meter.
