Oil Level Sensor: Removal

  1. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL )
  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  5. DRAIN ENGINE OIL  (See REPLACEMENT  )
  6. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER PIPE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the oil cooler pipe.
  7. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the oil level sensor connector.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts and oil level sensor.

    3. Cut off the gasket as shown in the illustration.
    4. Remove the gasket from the oil level sensor.

      HINT:

      After cutting away the parts of the gasket shown in the illustration, remove only the outer part of the gasket.
