System Outline

If the brake pedal is depressed while the ignition SW is in the ON position (The stop light SW is on), the shift lock ECU is activated, allowing the driver to change the shift lever out of the P position.

When the ignition SW is turned to the ACC or ON position and the shift lever is in a position other than P, the shift lock ECU will be activated and send current to the key interlock solenoid. This prevents the ignition SW from being turned from the ACC to OFF position.
