On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. INSPECT CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Start the engine and warm it up.
    4. Select Active Test menu on the Techstream.
    5. Check the engine speed when the OCV is operated by the Techstream.

      Standard 

      CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Condition Specified Condition
      VVT system is OFF (OCV is OFF) Normal engine speed
      VVT system is ON (OCV is ON) Rough idle or engine stalled
