Fuel Injector: Removal

  1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE LH COVER N0.2  (See REMOVAL )
  2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM COVER SIDE  (See REMOVAL )
  3. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE 

    (See PRECAUTION  )

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  5. DRAIN COOLANT (for Engine)  (See COOLANT (FOR ENGINE) )
  6. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  10. REMOVE COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTER  (See REMOVAL )
  11. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  (See REMOVAL )
  12. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH INLET  (See REMOVAL )
  13. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE WITH RESONATOR  (See REMOVAL )
  14. REMOVE EMISSION CONTROL VALVE SET  (See REMOVAL )
  15. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK  (See REMOVAL )
  16. SEPARATE FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.1 
    1. Remove the bolt and separate the fuel pipe No. 1 (A).
    2. Remove the fuel pressure pulsation damper and the 2 gaskets (B).
    3. Remove the fuel pipe No.2 union bolt and the 2 gaskets (C).

  17. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the 6 fuel injector connectors.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts, and then remove the 2 fuel delivery pipes together with the 6 fuel injectors.
      NOTE: Be careful not to drop the fuel injectors when removing the fuel delivery pipe.

    3. Remove the 4 delivery pipe No.1 spacers (A) and the 6 insulators (B) from the intake manifold.

    4. Pull out the fuel injector from the fuel delivery pipe.
    5. Remove the O-ring and grommet from the fuel injector.
