Inspection Procedure

1. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the mirror retract switch.

   Body No. 3:

   Outer Mirror Fold SW	Mirror retract signal / ON or OFF	ON: Switch is ON OFF: Switch is OFF	-
   Outer Mirror Return SW	Mirror return signal / ON or OFF	ON: Switch is OFF OFF: Switch is ON	-

   OK: On Techstream screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart. 

OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  

NG: Go to Next step

1. Measure the resistance of the switch.

   Standard resistance 

   RESISTANCE REFERENCE
   
   

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   4 - 5	ON (Retract)	10 kΩ or higher
   4 - 5	OFF (Return)	Below 1 Ω

NG: REPLACE OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

OK: Go to Next step 

1. Disconnect the M4 switch connector.
2. Disconnect the D5 ECU connector.

3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

   Standard resistance 

   RESISTANCE REFERENCE
   
   

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   M4-4 - D5-8 (RET)	Below 1 Ω
   M4-5 - Body ground	Below 1 Ω

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: REPLACE DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU)
