Inspection Procedure

HINT:

Read freeze frame data using the Techstream. Freeze frame data records the engine conditions when a malfunction is detected. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was running or stopped, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air-fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.

1. CHECK OTHER DTC OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P2119) 

   Result

   B: GO TO RELEVANT DTC CHART 

   A: Go to next step 

2. CHECK IF DTC OUTPUT REOCCURS 
   1. Clear the DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
   2. Allow the engine to idle for 15 seconds.
   3. Apply the parking brake and move the shift lever to the D position.
   4. Fully depress the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal for 5 seconds.

   HINT:

   Actual throttle position sensor voltage can be confirmed using the Techstream by entering the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Throttle Position No. 1.

   OK: 

   No DTC is output. 

   NG: REPLACE THROTTLE BODY 

   OK: NORMAL
