Fuel Pressure Pulsation Damper: Installation

INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY
1. Install 4 new gaskets and 2 pulsation dampers together with the No. 2 fuel pipe to the delivery pipe.

2. Using SST, tighten the 2 pulsation dampers.
  Torque:
  
  33 N*m (337 kgf*cm, 24 ft.*lbf) for use with SST
  
  39 N*m (398 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf) for use without SST

  HINT:
  - Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 30 cm (11.81 in.)
  - Make sure SST and a wrench are connected in a straight line.
3. Install the bolt to the No. 2 fuel pipe clamp.
  Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)
4. Using a union nut wrench, install the fuel pipe.
  Torque:
  
  28 N*m (286 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf) with union nut wrench
  
  35 N*m (357 kgf*cm, 26 ft.*lbf) without union nut wrench

  HINT:

INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET (See INSTALLATION )
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
PERFORM INITIALIZATION
1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
  NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CHECK FOR FUEL LEAKS (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL V-BANK COVER (See INSTALLATION )
