Inspection Procedure

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - COMBINATION METER)

Disconnect the S23 amplifier connector.
Disconnect the C8 meter connector.

Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

Tester Connection	Specified Condition
S23-13 (SPD) - C8-21 (+S)	Below 1 Ω
S23-13 (SPD) - Body ground	10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK: Go to next step

CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (+S VOLTAGE)

Jack up either of the rear wheels.
Move the shift lever to N.

Measure the voltage of the meter connectors.

Standard voltage

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
C8-21 (+S) - Body ground	Ignition switch ON and turn rear wheel	Voltage is pulsed

NG: GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

NG: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
