Radio Receiver: Removal

- SET RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY TO SHIPMENT MODE
- Take out all CDs.NOTE: If CD(s) cannot be taken out, do not attempt to take it out forcibly. Send the unit to a repair shop.
- While simultaneously pressing the "SEEK UP" and "DISK" switches, turn the ignition switch to ACC.
HINT:
- The CD indicator light blinks during mode setting and it remains lit after the setting is completed.
- When the mode setting is completed, "SHIPMENT' appears on the display.
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Take out all CDs.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
- REMOVE REAR CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER CENTER
- Remove the 4 bolts and panel.
- Disconnect the connector.
- CONFIRM RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY SHIPMENT MODE SETTING
- Look at the backside of the radio receiver and check that red sections can be seen through the holes near the "SHIP" marks.NOTE: If red sections cannot be seen, perform the shipment mode setting again.
- Look at the backside of the radio receiver and check that red sections can be seen through the holes near the "SHIP" marks.
- REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 4 screws and 3 panel retainers.
- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Press the 2 claws shown in the illustration to detach them and remove the panel.NOTE: Do not forcibly press the claw as it may break.
- Remove the 2 screws and No. 1 bracket.
- Remove the 2 screws and No. 2 bracket.
