Removable Roof Panel: Inspection

  1. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH (QUARTER WINDOW MOTOR) 
    1. Apply battery voltage to the motor terminals and check operation of the power window regulator motor RH.

      OK 

      MEASUREMENT CONDITION CHART

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2
      Turns clockwise
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1
      Turns counterclockwise

      If the result is not as specified, replace the power window regulator motor assembly RH.

  2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH (QUARTER WINDOW MOTOR) 
    1. Apply battery voltage to the motor terminals and check operation of the power window regulator motor LH.

      OK 

      MEASUREMENT CONDITION CHART

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2
      Turns clockwise
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1
      Turns counterclockwise

      If the result is not as specified, replace the power window regulator motor assembly LH.

  3. INSPECT LIMIT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LUGGAGE DOOR OPEN, CLOSE) 
    1. Measure the resistance of the switch (luggage door close).

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      2 - 3 Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
      2 - 3 Pushed Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the limit switch assembly.

    2. Measure the resistance of the switch (luggage door open).

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 3 Not pushed Below 1 Ω
      1 - 3 Pushed 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the limit switch assembly.

  4. INSPECT LIMIT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LUGGAGE FRONT LOCK RH) 
    1. Measure the resistance of the switch.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
      1 - 2 Pushed Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the limit switch assembly.

  5. INSPECT LIMIT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LUGGAGE FRONT LOCK LH) 
    1. Measure the resistance of the switch.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
      1 - 2 Pushed Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the limit switch assembly.

  6. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (COURTESY SWITCH) 
    1. Measure the resistance of the switch.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 4 CLOSE 10 kΩ or higher
      3 - 4 CLOSE Below 1 Ω
      1 - 4 OPEN Below 1 Ω
      3 - 4 OPEN 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the luggage compartment door lock assembly.

  7. INSPECT LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY RH (DOOR CLOSE RH) 
    1. Apply battery voltage to the closer terminals and check operation of the luggage closer RH.

      OK 

      MEASUREMENT CONDITION CHART

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2
      UNLOCK position
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1
      NEUTRAL position

      If the result is not as specified, replace the luggage closer RH.

  8. INSPECT LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY LH (DOOR CLOSE LH) 
    1. Apply battery voltage to the closer terminals and check operation of the luggage closer LH.

      OK 

      MEASUREMENT CONDITION CHART

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2
      UNLOCK position
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1
      NEUTRAL position

      If the result is not as specified, replace the luggage closer LH.
