Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the R3 or R4 receiver connector.

    2. Measure the resistance of the receiver.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      R3-6 (ATX+) - R3-16 (ATX-)*1 60 to 80 Ω
      R2-10 (ATX+) - R2-9 (ATX-)*2 60 to 80 Ω
      HINT:
      *1: for Taiwan, South Korea
      *2: for Except Taiwan, South Korea

    NG: REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER - RADIO RECEIVER) 
    1. Disconnect the M5 panel connector.
    2. Disconnect the R2 or R3 receiver connector.

    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      M5-6 (TX+) - R2-10 (ATX+)*1 Below 1 Ω
      M5-16 (TX-) - R2-9 (ATX-)*1 Below 1 Ω
      M5-6 (TX+) - R3-6 (ATX+)*2 Below 1 Ω
      M5-16 (TX-) - R3-16 (ATX-)*2 Below 1 Ω
      M5-6 (TX+) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      M5-16 (TX-) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      HINT:
      *1: for Taiwan, South Korea
      *1: for Except Taiwan, South Korea

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY CENTER 
    1. Remove the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly center.

    2. Measure the resistance of the panel.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      M5-6 (TX+) - A-4 Below 1 Ω
      M5-16 (TX-) - A-5 Below 1 Ω
      M5-6 (TX+) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      M5-16 (TX-) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY CENTER 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE OR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART
