On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. INSPECT CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Start and warm up the engine.
    4. Connect the Techstream and select VVT from the Active Test menu.
    5. Check the engine speed when the OCV is operated with the Techstream.

      OK

      Condition Specified Condition
      VVT system is OFF (OCV is OFF) Normal engine speed
      VVT system is ON (OCV is ON) Rough idle or engine stalled
