Camshaft Timing Oil Control Valve Assembly: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Exhaust Side of Bank 2) 
    1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the oil control valve.

    2. Install the oil control valve with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N*m ( 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Be careful that the O-ring is not cracked or jumped when installing the oil control valve.

    3. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
    4. Install the bracket with the bolt.

      Torque: 21 N*m ( 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

    5. Connect the wiring harness to the bracket.
  2. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Intake Side of Bank 2) 
    1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the oil control valve.

    2. Install the oil control valve with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N*m ( 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Be careful that the O-ring is not cracked or jumped when installing the oil control valve.

    3. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
  3. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Intake Side of Bank 1) 
    1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the oil control valve.

    2. Install the oil control valve with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N*m ( 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

    3. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.

    4. Install the V-bank cover bracket with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N*m ( 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

  4. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Exhaust Side of Bank 1) 
    1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the oil control valve.

    2. Install the oil control valve with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N*m ( 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Be careful that the O-ring is not cracked or jumped when installing the oil control valve.

    3. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
  5. INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 3
  6. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY  See step  1
  7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE  See step  2
  8. CONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE  See step  3
  9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  10. ADD ENGINE COOLANT  . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 6
  11. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 3
  12. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 3
  13. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 6
  14. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 7
  15. INSTALL FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4
  16. INSTALL FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 5
  17. INSTALL FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 9
  18. INSTALL FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 10
  19. INSTALL V-BANK COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 132
  20. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 133
  21. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 134
  22. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 135
  23. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization Refer to INITIALIZATION .
      NOTE:

      Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
