Throttle Body: Removal: Removal

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 15
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 5
REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 16
REMOVE V-BANK COVER . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 18
REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 19
DISCONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE
1. Disconnect the ventilation hose from the cylinder head.

REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
1. Disconnect the MAF meter connector.
2. Disconnect the clamp from the air cleaner cap.
3. Disconnect the purge line hose.
4. Disconnect the 4 clamps.
5. Remove the hose clamp and air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose.
REMOVE THROTTLE BODY
1. Disconnect the throttle motor connector.

2. Remove the 4 bolts and disconnect the throttle body from the intake air surge tank.
3. Disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses from the throttle body.

4. Remove the throttle body and gasket.
