System Outline

* The interior light system is controlled by the body ECU and sub-body ECU.

* The system has following features.

Normal Operation 

* When the front Door LH or RH is opened, the door courtesy lights front LH and RH and open door warning lights are turned on. When the front door LH and RH are closed, the door courtesy lights front LH and RH will be turned off.

* When the rear door LH, RH or the back door is opened, the door courtesy lights rear LH and RH, rear interior light and the open door warning lights are turned on. When the rear door LH, RH and back door are all closed, the door courtesy lights rear LH and RH will be turned off.

* When all the doors are closed, the open door warning light is turned off.

Turn Off Function 

If the ignition SW is turned off and there is no change in the door courtesy SW for approx. 30 minute, the DOME relay will be turned off. The DOME relay will be turned on again when any of the following conditions are met.

* The ignition SW is turned from the OFF position to the ACC or ON position

* There is a change in any door courtesy SW

* The driver or front passenger door is unlocked by the key or transmitter

Immediate Turn Off Function at Door Lock 

When all the doors are closed, and the driver or front passenger door is locked with the key or transmitter, the DOME relay will be turned off after approx. 80 seconds. However, when the illuminated entry system is operating, the DOME relay will be turned off immediately after the operation is completed. The DOME relay will be turned on again when any of the following conditions are met.

* The ignition SW is turned from the OFF position to the ACC or ON position

* There is a change in any door courtesy SW

* The driver or front passenger door is unlocked by the key or transmitter

Illuminated Entry System 

* When any door is opened, the lights listed below will be turned on.

* The lights remain on for approx. 15 seconds after all the doors are closed, and then fade out.

* If the ignition SW is in the ACC or ON position, and any door is open, then when all the doors are closed, the lights fade out immediately.

* If the ignition SW is turned to the ACC or ON position while the timer is illuminating the lights, the lights fade out immediately.

* When the doors are locked while the timer is illuminating the lights, the lights fade out immediately.

* The lights include, the front interior light, ignition key cylinder light, and front door courtesy light LH, RH.
