System Outline
* The power window system is controlled by the body ECU. This system has following features.
- Manual Up and Down Function
This function causes the window to open or close as long as the power window switch is being pulled halfway up or pushed halfway down. The window will stop as soon as the switch is released.
- One-Touch Auto Up and Down Function
The all doors one-touch auto up and down function enables the front door windows to be fully opened or closed at a touch of the power window switch, by either pulling it fully up or pushing it fully down.
- Jam Protection Function
The jam protection function automatically stops the power window and moves it downward if a foreign object gets jammed in the window during a one-touch auto-up operation.
- Remote Control Function
The up and down operations of the front passenger door window and the rear door windows can be controlled remotely by operating the power window master switch.
- Key-Off Operation Function
The driver's door key-off operation function makes it possible to operate the power window for approximately 45 seconds after the ignition switch has been turned to the ACC or LOCK position, as long as the front doors are not opened.
* When the battery terminal or fuse is disconnected, the glass position of all doors will need to be reset to the initial positions, door by door, using the power window control switch in accordance with the following procedure:
- Reconnect the battery terminal or fuse.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Lower the window of each door halfway or more using the power window switch.
- Then move the window up and close it fully using the power window switch.
Do not release the switch for at least one second after the window has fully closed.
