System Outline

  1. Manual Operation

When the air volume is set on the blower control SW which on the rear cooler SW, a signal is transmitted from the rear cooler SW to the A/C control assembly (w/o LEXUS navigation system) or A/C ECU (w/ LEXUS navigation system). The A/C control assembly (w/o LEXUS navigation system) or A/C ECU (w/ LEXUS navigation system) controls the power transistor, and adjusts the blower motor to the set air volume.

  2. Auto Operation

When the blower control SW on the rear cooler SW is set to the AUTO position, a signal is transmitted from the rear cooler SW to the A/C control assembly (w/o LEXUS navigation system) or A/C ECU (w/ LEXUS navigation system). The A/C control assembly (w/o LEXUS navigation system) or A/C ECU (w/ LEXUS navigation system) controls the power transistor based on signals from various sensors, then operates the blower motor, which adjusts the air volume. It should be noted that auto control operates only when blowout port of the front air conditioning is positioned at FACE, and blower is turned off otherwise.

  3. Temperature Control

The temperature control for the rear air conditioning can be have up to a + / -5 °C difference from the front air conditioning temperature setting.

    * The rear air conditioning can only operate when the front air conditioning is also operating, and will only blow air if the front air conditioning is off.
