Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY - MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER) 
    1. Disconnect the L62 navigation connector.
    2. Disconnect the R32 controller connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L62-11 (RR-) - R32-9 (R3-) Always Below 1 Ω
      L62-12 (RR+) - R32-8 (R3+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L62-9 (RL-) - R32-11 (L3-) Always Below 1 Ω
      L62-10 (RL+) - R32-10 (L3+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L62-13 (SGD2) - R32-12 (SLD3) Always Below 1 Ω
      L62-11 (RR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L62-12 (RR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L62-9 (RL-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L62-10 (RL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

      OK: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY 
    1. Reconnect the L62 navigation connector.
    2. Using an oscilloscope, check the signal waveform between each terminal and the body ground according to the conditions, as shown in the chart below.

      Signal waveform 

      SIGNAL WAVEFORM REFERENCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R32-9 (R3-) - Body ground Audio sound is being produced A waveform synchronized with sound is output
      R32-8 (R3+) - Body ground Audio sound is being produced A waveform synchronized with sound is output
      R32-11 (L3-) - Body ground Audio sound is being produced A waveform synchronized with sound is output
      R32-10 (L3+) - Body ground Audio sound is being produced A waveform synchronized with sound is output

      NG: REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )

      OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   )
