Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK GENERATOR ASSEMBLY (TERMINAL B) 
    1. Check the generator's tightening torque value.

      Standard torque 

      STANDARD TORQUE REFERENCE CHART

      Generator Standard torque
      Terminal 1 (B) 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 8.82 ft.*lbf)

      NG: TIGHTEN GENERATOR ASSEMBLY (TERMINAL B) 

      OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK GENERATOR ASSEMBLY (IG INPUT VOLTAGE) 
    1. Disconnect the E24 generator connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      STANDARD VOLTAGE REFERENCE CHART

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      E24-2 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

      NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

      OK: REPLACE PASSENGER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK (ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL ECU)
