Crankshaft Position Sensor: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR 
    1. Apply a coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the sensor.
    2. Install the sensor with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Connect the crankshaft position sensor connector.
  2. ADJUST COMPRESSOR OIL  . Refer toINSTALLATION - Step 1
  3. INSTALL ELECTRIC INVERTER COMPRESSOR  . Refer toINSTALLATION - Step 2
  4. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE  . Refer toINSTALLATION - Step 3
  5. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT SUCTION HOSE  . Refer toINSTALLATION - Step 4
  6. INSTALL SERVICE PLUG GRIP  . Refer toINSTALLATION - Step 33
  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  8. CHARGE REFRIGERANT  . Refer toREPLACEMENT - Step 2
  9. WARM UP ENGINE  . Refer toREPLACEMENT - Step 3
  10. CHECK FOR LEAKAGE OF REFRIGERANT  . Refer toREPLACEMENT - Step 4
  11. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH 
  12. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER 
  13. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET  . Refer toINSTALLATION - Step 2
  14. INSTALL V-BANK COVER  See step  31
  15. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  See step  34
  16. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization. Refer toINITIALIZATION .
      NOTE:

      Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
