Floor Shift Assembly: Installation

HINT:

A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (See SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS ).

1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY 
   1. Install the floor shift with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 8.3 N*m (85 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf) 

   2. Attach the 6 wire harness clamps to the floor shift.
   3. Connect the 2 connectors.

2. CONNECT FLOOR SHIFT GEAR SHIFTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
   1. Temporarily connect the shifting rod to the connecting rod swivel with the nut.

   HINT:

   The nut is tightened to a torque specification during the shift lever position adjustment procedure.

3. INSTALL NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT 
   1. Install the duct with the 2 screws.
4. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 
   1. Install the console box (See INSTALLATION ).
5. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION 
   1. Adjust the shift lever position (See ADJUSTMENT ).
6. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR NO. 1 HEAT INSULATOR  (See INSTALLATION )
7. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 
   1. Install the front exhaust pipe (See INSTALLATION ).
8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
   NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
9. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER  (See INSTALLATION )
10. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION 
    1. Inspect the shift lever position (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION ).
