How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
HINT:
- Use these procedures to troubleshoot the dynamic radar cruise control system.
- *: Use the Techstream.
- VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
- INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
Standard voltage:
11 to 14 V
If the voltage is below 11V, replace or recharge the battery before proceeding.
- CHECK FOR DTC (ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM)*
- Using the Techstream, check if the electric power control system is functioning normally.
Result
RESULT REFERENCE CHARTResult Proceed to DTC B22B3 is not output A DTC B22B3 is output B
B: Go to ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )
A: Go to next step
- Using the Techstream, check if the electric power control system is functioning normally.
- CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*
- Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.
Result
RESULT REFERENCE CHARTResult Proceed to CAN DTC is not output A CAN DTC is output B
B: Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )
A: Go to next step
- Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.
- CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*
- Use the Techstream to check if the LIN communication system is functioning normally.
Result
RESULT REFERENCE CHARTResult Proceed to LIN DTC is not output A LIN DTC is output B
B: Go to LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )
A: Go to next step
- Use the Techstream to check if the LIN communication system is functioning normally.
- CHECK FOR DTC*
- Check for DTC (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
- Clear the DTC (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
- Recheck for DTC (see
DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
Result
RESULT REFERENCE CHARTResult Proceed to DTC is not output A DTC is output B
B: Go to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )
A: Go to next step
- PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- Refer to the problem symptoms table (see
PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
Result
RESULT REFERENCE CHARTResult Proceed to Fault is not listed in problem symptoms table A Fault is listed in problem symptoms table B
B: Go to step 9
A: Go to next step
- Refer to the problem symptoms table (see
PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
- OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING*
- Operation Check (see OPERATION CHECK ).
- Terminals of ECU (see TERMINALS OF ECU ).
- Data List/Active Test (see DATA LIST/ACTIVE TEST ).
- ADJUST, REPAIR OR REPLACE NOTE:
- If the driving support ECU has been replaced, turn the power switch off → on (IG) for 10 seconds → off to perform the initialization.
- When the front millimeter wave radar sensor is replaced with a new one, adjustment of the radar sensor beam axis must be performed (see INITIALIZATION ).
- CONFIRMATION TEST
