How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 

    11 to 14 V 

    If the voltage is below 11V, replace or recharge the battery before proceeding.

  3. CHECK FOR DTC (ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM)* 
    1. Using the Techstream, check if the electric power control system is functioning normally.

      Result 

      RESULT REFERENCE CHART

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B22B3 is not output A
      DTC B22B3 is output B

    B: Go to ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM  (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )

    A: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      Result 

      RESULT REFERENCE CHART

      Result Proceed to
      CAN DTC is not output A
      CAN DTC is output B

    B: Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM  (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )

    A: Go to next step 

  5. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the LIN communication system is functioning normally.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      LIN DTC is not output A
      LIN DTC is output B

    B: Go to LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM  (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

    A: Go to next step 

  6. CHECK FOR DTC* 
    1. Check for DTC (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
    2. Clear the DTC (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
    3. Recheck for DTC (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      DTC is output B

    B: Go to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )

    A: Go to next step 

  7. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
    1. Refer to the problem symptoms table (see PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).

      Result

      Fault is not listed in problem symptoms table A
      Fault is listed in problem symptoms table B

    B:  Go to step  9

    A: Go to next step 

  8. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING* 
    1. Operation Check (see OPERATION CHECK ).
    2. Terminals of ECU (see TERMINALS OF ECU ).
    3. Data List/Active Test (see DATA LIST/ACTIVE TEST ).
  9. ADJUST, REPAIR OR REPLACE 
    NOTE:
    • If the driving support ECU has been replaced, turn the power switch off → on (IG) for 10 seconds → off to perform the initialization.
    • When the front millimeter wave radar sensor is replaced with a new one, adjustment of the radar sensor beam axis must be performed (see INITIALIZATION ).
  10. CONFIRMATION TEST
