Front Console Box: Removal

  1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH 
    1. Using a molding remover, detach the 8 clips and claw.
    2. Remove the finish panel.
  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH 
    1. Using a molding remover, detach the 8 clips and claw.
    2. Remove the finish panel.

  3. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Twist the shift lever knob in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

  4. REMOVE NO. 3 BOX PANEL 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the box panel.

  5. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE PANEL UPPER 
    1. Place protective tape as shown in the illustration.
    2. Move the shift lever to N.
    3. Remove the 2 screws.
    4. Using a screwdriver, detach the 6 clips.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    5. Remove the panel and disconnect the connectors.

  6. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER 
    1. Place protective tape as shown in the illustration.
    2. Detach the 2 clips.
    3. Remove the console panel and disconnect the connector.

  7. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE END PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a molding remover, detach the 5 clips and 2 claws.
    2. Remove the end panel and disconnect the connector.

  8. REMOVE CONSOLE COVER LOWER 
    1. Remove the cover.
  9. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and 2 screws.
    2. Disconnect the connectors.
    3. Detach the 2 claws and remove the console box.
