Inspection Procedure

  1. CLEAN DISC 
    1. Clean the disc by wiping the disc's underside radially with a soft cloth

      OK: Malfunction disappears. 

      NOTE: Do not use a conventional record cleaner or antistatic preservative.

    NG: Go to step 2 

    OK: DISC WAS DIRTY 

  2. REPLACE DISC WITH ANOTHER AND RECHECK 
    1. Replace the disc with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again

      OK: Malfunction disappears. 

    NG: Go to step 3 

    OK: DISC IS FAULTY 

  3. CHECK WHEN PROBLEM OCCURS 
    1. Check the location in which disc skipping occurs

      Result 

      RESULT CHART

      Result Proceed to
      Driving surface is bumpy or rough A
      Driving surface is normal B

    B:  Go to step  5

    A: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK MULTI-DISPLAY INSTALLATION 
    1. Check the installation condition of the multi-display

      OK: Installed properly. 

    NG: INSTALL MULTI-DISPLAY PROPERLY  (See REASSEMBLY  )

    OK: Go to next step 

  5. INSTALL MULTI-DISPLAY IN ANOTHER VEHICLE OF SAME MODEL AND COMPARE 
    1. Remove the multi-display and install it in another vehicle of the same model. Check if the disc sound skips.

      OK: Disc sound does not skip. 

    NG: Go to step 6 

    OK: MALFUNCTIONS MAY NOT BE PRESENT 

  6. DID TEMPERATURE IN CABIN CHANGE RAPIDLY? 
    1. Check whether or not a rapid temperature change occurred in the cabin

      OK: Rapid temperature change occurred. 

      HINT:

      A rapid temperature change creates condensation inside the disc player, which may disable disc playback.

    NG: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )

    OK: CONDENSATION DUE TO TEMPERATURE CHANGE (LEAVE AS IS FOR A WHILE BEFORE USING)
