Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      R32-5 (MUT5) - Body ground Turn power switch ON (ACC), audio system is playing → Changing modes Above 3.5 V → Below 1 V

    NG: Go to step 2 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY - MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER) 
    1. Disconnect the L62 navigation connector
    2. Disconnect the R32 controller connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L62-8 (MUTE) - R32-6 (MUT5) Always Below 1 Ω
      L62-8 (MUTE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY  (see REMOVAL )
