Inspection Procedure

CHECK MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below

Standard voltage

R32-18 (MUT6) - Body ground	Turn power switch ON (ACC), audio system is playing → Changing modes	3.5 V or higher → Below 1 V

NG: Go to step 2

OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )

CHECK SATELLITE RADIO TUNER

Check if the satellite radio tuner is equipped on the vehicle

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - SATELLITE RADIO TUNER)

Disconnect the L53 receiver connector
Disconnect the R27 tuner connector

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

Standard resistance

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK: Go to next step

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SATELLITE RADIO TUNER - MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER)

Disconnect the R29 tuner connector
Disconnect the R32 controller connector

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance

R29-15 (MUT2) - R32-18 (MUT6)	Always	Below 1 Ω

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK: Go to next step

CHECK SATELLITE RADIO TUNER (OPERATION)
1. Replace the satellite radio tuner with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again (see REMOVAL ).
  OK: Same problem does not occur.
NG: Go to step 7

OK: END (SATELLITE RADIO TUNER IS DEFECTIVE)

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER)

Disconnect the L53 receiver connector.
Disconnect the R32 controller connector.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

Standard resistance

OK: Go to next step

CHECK MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER

Reconnect the R32 controller connector

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below

Standard voltage

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

R32-18 (MUT6) - Body ground	Audio system is playing	Above 3.5 V

NG: REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER (See REMOVAL )

OK: REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
