Inspection Procedure

HINT:

First make sure the CAN communication system is operating normally.

  1. INSPECT FUSE (RR MPX-B 2) 
    1. Disconnect the RR MPX-B 2 fuse from the luggage room junction block.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      RR MPX-B 2 fuse Always Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER SEAT MODULE SWITCH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the S15 or z54 module connector
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S15-5 (E) - Body ground*1 Always Below 1 Ω
      z54-3 (E) - Body ground*2
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S15-6 (B) - Body ground*1 Always 11 to 14 V
      z54-11 (B) - Body ground*2

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ).
