Inspection Procedure

- INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER
- Disconnect the R32 controller connector.
- Using an oscilloscope, check the signal waveform between each terminal and body ground according to the conditions, as shown in the chart below.

OK: REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER (See REMOVAL )
- CHECK SATELLITE RADIO TUNER
- Check if the satellite radio tuner is equipped on the vehicle

- Check if the satellite radio tuner is equipped on the vehicle
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - SATELLITE RADIO TUNER AND MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER)
- Disconnect the L53 receiver connector
- Disconnect the R27 and R29 tuner connectors.
- Disconnect the R32 controller connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

- CHECK SATELLITE RADIO TUNER (OPERATION)
- Replace the satellite radio tuner with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again (see REMOVAL
)
OK: Same problem does not occur.
NG: REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER (See REMOVAL )
OK: END (SATELLITE RADIO TUNER IS DEFECTIVE)
- Replace the satellite radio tuner with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again (see REMOVAL
)
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER)
- Disconnect the L53 receiver connector.
- Disconnect the R32 controller connector
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below
