Instrument Panel Speaker: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Lexus LS 600hL. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

HINT:

  1. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector
    2. Temporarily install the speaker by aligning the positioning pins of the speaker with the instrument panel.
    3. Install the speaker with the 2 bolts.
      NOTE:
      • Do not touch the cone part of the speaker.
      • When installing the speaker to the instrument panel be careful that get caught the wires do not get caught between the parts.

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Attach the 2 clips and 7 claws to install the panel.

  3. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  4. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. INSTALL FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the speaker connector
    2. Temporarily install the speaker by aligning the positioning pins of the speaker with the instrument panel
    3. Install the speaker with the 2 bolts
      NOTE:
      • Do not touch the cone part of the speaker.
      • When installing the speaker to the instrument panel be careful that get caught the wires do not get caught between the parts.

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 SPEAKER HOLE COVER 
    1. Attach the 4 clips to install the hole cover
  7. INSTALL MULTI DISPLAY ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET 
    1. w/o Navigation System.

      Install the multi-display (see REASSEMBLY  ).

    2. w/ Navigation System.

      Install the multi-display (see INSTALLATION ).

    3. for HDD Navigation System

      Install the display and navigation (see INSTALLATION ).

  8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see INITIALIZATION ).
  9. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  10. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
