Steering Pad Switch: Inspection

INSPECT STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY (Steering Wheel Side)

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance

7 (AU1-2) - 3 (EAU-1)	VOL+ switch pushed	680 Ω
7 (AU1-2) - 3 (EAU-1)	VOL- switch pushed	2880 Ω
10 (AU2-3) - 3 (EAU-1)	VOICE switch pushed	2200 Ω

If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

7 (AU2-1) - 3 (EAU-1)	ON Hook switch pushed	330 Ω
7 (AU2-1) - 3 (EAU-1)	OFF Hook switch pushed	1010 Ω
6 (AU1-1) - 3 (EAU-1)	No switch is pushed	1000 kΩ or higher
6 (AU1-1) - 3 (EAU-1)	Seek+ switch pushed	Below 2.5 Ω
6 (AU1-1) - 3 (EAU-1)	Seek- switch pushed	330 Ω
6 (AU1-1) - 9 (AU1-2)	No switch is pushed	330 Ω

If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly
