Wireless Transmitter Memory Function does not Operate: Procedure

  1. CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL FUNCTIONS 
    1. Using the standard operation procedure, check that the wireless door lock/unlock operates normally.

      OK

      Wireless door lock/unlock operates normally.

      HINT: 

      The standard operating procedure is as follows:

      Hold the transmitter approximately 1 m (3.28 ft.) from the driver door outside handle. Press and hold the transmitter lock or unlock switch for 1 second.

    NG → See step   5 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL FUNCTION 
    1. Using the standard operation procedure, check that the power door lock/unlock operates normally.

      OK

      Power door lock/unlock operates normally.

    NG → See step   6 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH FUNCTION (SEAT POSITION MEMORY FUNCTION) 
    1. Perform a memory operation properly. Check that the buzzer sounds to indicate the completion of the memory operation.
      NOTE:
      • The seat position will not be recorded if the seat memory SET switch and 2 or more of the seat memory switches (for example, seat memory switch 1 and seat memory switch 2) are pressed simultaneously.
      • If a memorizing operation has failed, release all switches. The seat memory function does not operate unless the switches are released.

      OK

      Seat memory switch function operates normally.

    NG → See step   7 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK MEMORY CALL FUNCTION (REGISTER RECOGNITION CODE) 
    1. While pressing seat memory switch 1, seat memory switch 2 or seat memory switch 3 switch, press the transmitter lock or unlock switch. Then check that the buzzer sounds normally.

      OK

      Buzzer sounds normally.

    NG → See step   8 

    OK → END 

  5. GO TO WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 
  6. GO TO POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 
  7. GO TO PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  
  8. REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH. Refer to  REMOVAL
