System Outline

If the brake pedal is depressed when the ignition SW is ON (The stop light SW is on), the shift lock ECU is activated, allowing the driver to change the shift lever to a position other than the P position.

If the ignition SW is turned to the ACC or ON position and the shift lever is in a position other than the P position, the shift ECU is activated to send current to the key interlock solenoid. This prevents the ignition SW from being turned from the ACC position to the OFF position.
