Ignition Switch: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL IGNITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the ignition switch with the 2 screws.
    2. Install the clamp.
    3. Connect the ignition switch connector and unlock warning switch connector.
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 26
  3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
      NOTE:

      Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    1. Install the ignition switch with the 2 screws.
    2. Install the clamp.
    3. Connect the ignition switch connector and unlock warning switch connector.
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 26
  3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
