Skid Control Sensor: Inspection

  1. INSPECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR 
    1. Inspect the skid control sensor. If any of the following occurs, replace the skid control sensor with a new one:
      • The surface of the skid control sensor is cracked, dented, or chipped off.
      • The connector is scratched, cracked, or damaged.
      • The skid control sensor has been dropped.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance: 

      RH 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2 (RR+) - 1 (RR-) Always 0.9 to 2.1 kΩ
      2 (RR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      1 (RR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      LH 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2 (RL+) -1 (RL-) Always 0.9 to 2.1 kΩ
      2 (RL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      1 (RL-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      If the value is not as specified, replace the skid control sensor.
