4GR-FSE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: ECM: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

3. REMOVE ECM COVER

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and ECM cover.





NOTICE:
* Remove all water on and around the ECM cover.
* Perform the inspection indoors to avoid rain.
* Be sure to prevent water intrusion to the ECM (connectors and screw parts).
4. REMOVE ECM

(a) Disconnect the ECM connectors.

(1) Using a screwdriver, disconnect the connector holder.





(2) Disconnect the 6 ECM connectors.

(b) Remove the 2 nuts and ECM.
