- CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Use the Techstream to check if the multiplex communication system is functioning normally. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

- CHECK REVERSE SHIFT-LINKED FUNCTION
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Set the mirror select switch to L or R.
- Check that the mirror surface turns downward when the shift lever is moved to R.

- CHECK FOR DTC (P0705)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / DTC.
- Check if DTC P0705 is output.

A → REPLACE NETWORK GATEWAY ECU
- CHECK MEMORY AND REACTIVATION FUNCTION
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Using the outer mirror switch assembly, turn the mirror surface to the full left position.
- Press the M1 switch while the SET switch is being pressed.
- Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds and the mirror surface position is memorized.
- Using the outer mirror switch assembly, turn the mirror surface to the full right position.
- Press the M1 switch.
- Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.1 seconds and the outer mirror automatically moves to the recorded full left position.

Memory and reactivation function is normal.

- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
- GO TO AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SYSTEM (for A760E). Refer to DTC P0705: Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction (PRNDL Input)
- REPLACE ECM (for 2UR-GSE). Refer to REMOVAL
- GO TO OTHER FLOW CHART (Power Mirrors do not Return to Memorized Position). Refer to Power Mirrors do not Return to Memorized Position
- REPLACE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL
